It's an American style brown nut made in Mexico; basically confused, beer advocate doesn't rate it very highly.

Giving this a go tonight. Wicked awesome.

I didn't know Phillips even made a doppelbock. Would buy more for the holidays.

Lucked into the last wax dipped bomber of Hermannator that Brewery Creek had today. Into the cellar it goes for a year or so.

I think they are pretty much all gone, they were raffling off "refurbished" cases at the brewery that had been returned from BCL due to broken bottles. There is an Iphone app you can get that checks BCL province wide, buddy at work has it but I don't know the name of it.

What PaulB is posting matches my box but the second case I bought for a friend has been different for the first 3 days.

Yeah I could get on board with that. Neither were too notable but I enjoyed the second one well enough.

Picked up 3 of the just-released Parallel 49 Braggot, plan to crack a bottle Friday though may give in tomorrow. It's a barrel aged beer / mead blend. I like the detail of having the cap waxed with beeswax for the full bee effect (mead is made with honey).

Speaking of waxing, I tried doing my own batch at home and it turned out pretty good.

it's cooler when it's beer you made.. one of my 2012 Barley wines.
