Not cherry, but grab an armload of New Belgium Le Terroir while it's still on shelves. It's amazing and very palatable for non-sour beer drinkers. It has a great sour base with a healthy dose of citrus hops that are not at all bitter.

I bought 6 and am contemplating more.

ughhhh it's so good. it's been off the shelves in Colorado for almost two months now.

jake has come through for me before, I fully suspect he is just trying to find all his clothes and finishing up breakfast

Friday night was pretty awesome (and Saturday subsequently less awesome). Shared a few beers with a buddy at a house party:

Russian River Supplication
Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout
Hair of the Dog Adam
Le Trou du Diable Dulcis Succubus

Supplication was really good but not the mind-blowing experience we had hoped for. Definitely well worth picking up when spotted but I won't bend over backwards for it when we have things like Cantillon around here!

BCBCS was everything I had hoped it would be. Thick, tons of complex sugars making it sticky sweet without being cloying, so much bourbon!

Adam was very good, the smoke levels were actually higher than I expected but not overdone - I don't really like smoked beers but this worked for me. Was tough to follow up BCBCS, next bottle I have will be my first beer of the night.

Dulcis Subbubus totally blew my mind. So damn good. I have one bottle in the cellar but I'm going to have to add a couple more, regardless of the nearly $30 price tag.

Storm Flanders Red - that stuff kicks ass, great beer.

It had been about two years since I was last in Storm, I love how raw and real it is vs the sanitized and branded craft breweries that have opened up in the last couple years.

Anyone tried the Four Winds Brett Saison? Picked up a couple but yet to crack one. Any thoughts?

I loved the brett saison. Not quite as good as Logsdon Seizoen Bretta but damn close!

I bought a bunch and will be cellaring for various amounts of time too

I am glad you did. Hermanator is the best beer VIB does, period. No one else in BC even makes an Ice Bock.

From the pictures I've seen of the inside, and having driven past it a couple times, that place looks awesome.

yeah it's crazy. There's a sour fermentation room, barrel room, concrete encased centrifuge filtration system..

A lot of hype around the The Elder, I'm curious to hear what you thought. Is it really #1? Too hoppy for mere mortals? BTW how the hell did you get it? I read you have to go the brewer in Santa Rosa, or close for a tap.

Something by Dogfish Head is next on my list of beer I'd like to try.
