Bridge has been selling a nice wooden double carrier for the big growlers.

It's International Stout Day, so I went over to Powell St. and got a fill of their just released winter stout. Based on the taster I had, it's pretty yummy.

Yeah, the Scotsman in me says make it myself.

You buy an average bc wine for $28 and it could be totally average, and that would be just a normal purchase.

no, I don't. :) ~$100 for 28 bottles, more like $3.50 a piece.

A good brewer can make magic out of 4 ingredients, and alchemy that boggles your imagination.

that, however, I do agree with you! I wonder if the alchemists of the dark ages weren't actually making gold, but beer.

I actually have a great one from the North Shore liquor store that has velcro in the middle so you can add / remove certain pockets. Works well with smaller bottles / bombers / boston rounds but I don't have anything growler sized.

If I don't have the kids with me I use their car seats.

Oh mine is for 1L bombers . Not growlers. It would work for boston rounds as well.

WTF, Over?

.

You are homebrewing at that price. :) I edited my post for a more general comment.

I know it's way cheaper, and I love my homebrew stuff,(drinking a Wet hopped ISA right now) but the point was in terms of what you get for the price, Great beer is better value than great wine.

checked it out last night. this place is huge! There is a lot of $$ invested in it. A bit pricey but i will go back. Never tried the menu, just chipped away at the beer selection.
I tried some new ones
Green flash IPA
Brooklyn IPA
Brew dog Saint. All great.

Impressive setup. I'm sure the high price is trying to payback the capital.

I hope the selection becomes a little more exotic as they become established (WA/OR/CA limited releases, more of the unique local stuff), because it's definitely an impressive place.

Do you have an OG BOP that's not empty? I'd be jealous

I just drank my first bottle of Le Terroir last night and I'm really bummed I didn't buy more. Maybe it can still be found at some of the less popular private stores. I'd previously never been blown away by a Lips of Faith release so I didn't bother getting more, but it's awesome.

Picked up 6 of the 2013 Woolly's which came out yesterday. Looking forward to a future 5-year vertical on those.
