Beavers

Hey all!

I work in a biology lab and we're looking to get access to beavers. In particular, access to beaver poop (as fresh as possible) to identify what lives in their stomach. Sounds gross, but it will be some really cool biology for sure. We'd be willing to travel somewhere to get samples.

If you have access or know anyone with access like this to beavers, either captive or wild, it would be hugely appreciated! I can't even find anywhere that has captive beavers in/around Vancouver (Vancouver Zoo doesn't even have any!). Any info you've got would be useful :)

and you actually thought you would get a serious answer!? Anyway, yeah there has been some living on and off out by my work in a river that feeds burnaby lake. Drive into the cariboo business park and you'll see. Little fuckers pretty much had 3 or 4 big trees almost down before the landlord had them taken down professionally. I think the area is supposedly protected though.

there is one beaver in lafarge lake in coquitlam. i have seen him multiple times once 5 ft away.

a beaver is just a big fucking rat with a good publicist they are all over the place up here causing flooding [HTML_REMOVED] wrecking forestry roads, apparently if you got beaver problems on yer land the best way to fix it is blow the dam just before freeze-up
