I'm assuming he got a ride in the mini bin.

The bear lives:

Aperantly they were able to sudate him and are bringing him somewhere near squamish.

Id be curious to know where he came from and what his route dt was? Thats a super stealthy bear.

I heard on the radio that he hitched a ride in a garbage bin/truck.

He looked healthy though. No matted fur or anything.

I don't know much about bears though.

If it were a rat, raccoon or skunk, would anyone care? They also habitually go through our garbage.

Can I imagine being a poor bear, stuck on the roof of a garbage truck downtown? No, I would probably lack the cognitive ability to do so.

I don't understand why every goes ga-ga over bears.

This trip to Kelowna was definately an undertaking - Liam and I had been planning this project for 24 hours. We worked really hard to pull out all the stops in this video. We had slo-mo goggle shots; time lapses; pedal flips; outrageous product shots; unloading and loading the bike; walking through the field with your hand in wheat. At the end of the day this trip was all about just getting out and riding with all my friends.

Sadly it's the bears that suffer most in these encounters.

People that leave garbage out and end up feeding bears should be punished by being fed to bears. It's only fair.
