Is there someone here who wants to defend them?
I'd love to learn from you.

Haven't we seen this thread before?
Meanwhile, in Smithers.....
The bc libs used to be the social credit party (conservative) until the late eighties or early nineties when they nearly got wiped off the political landscape. They lost to the ndp in a landslide like the one created by mt St. Helens. They lost all but two seats. They rather quickly changed their name to the bc liberal party hoping a new coat of paint would hide the scars and get them back on track. So really the lies start with the name of the party.
It was the NDP that lost all but two seats. I don't think the Clark govt. was elected with that large a margin.

It wasn’t the Clark libs. You need to go back to the Vander Zalm era. Google it. Late eighties early nineties. Not sure if you’ll find it on truthdig or whatever. Remember Fantasy gardens? I thought you were more of a homework kinda guy.😁

I was talking about Glen Clark. Yah I remember the woman w/teh hats and Harcourts route just didn't think it was that emphatic.
Faaaaaaaaaaaan__tastic!
It's mostly memorable because of that crazy ass hat chick Faye Leung.
My school did a field trip to Fantasy Gardens. Just a coincidence I am sure.
I supported the BC Liberals early on because Gordon Wilson was a family friend and seemed like a nice dude when he came over to the house. Once Campbell took over and a was a little older I still supported them because I am in the construction industry and I knew he would juice it up. And juice it he did! They got worse and more corrupt by the year and I haven't voted for them since the HST fiasco.
Hawaii is so much fun

I did a little more reading and you were right about the two seats (oops). When Rita Johnston took over from Vander Zalm they were left with only seven seats after the election. An 85% loss over the previous election.
