Decide to leave their flagship boats in the harbour for the busiest travel weekend of the year and run the old boats.

Docking fees are getting steep, we'll probably see prices go up another 10 bucks.

It's an extension of the #1 Trans-Canada freeway, so the ferry should be free. (Dream on)

He's actually very smart for doing this. Those larger ferry's use more fuel, which of of course more $$$. In the end if the company saves more $$$ then his bonus at the end of year is also worth more $$$.

Could be one of those AMEX commercials.

Cost of ferry ticket (wife/kids/care (102.50)
Chips and snacks for the trip - $15

Waiting in line all day - priceless

Cost of customer service - who cares we are a monopoly what choice do they have

baa haa haa

The Province should, on a trial basis, lease one berth on the major routes (Tsawassen-Swartz Bay [HTML_REMOVED] Horseshoe Bay-Departure Bay) to the Washington State Ferry Service.

As a consumer I'd like to have a choice when taking my vehicle back [HTML_REMOVED] forth.

Over the last few years with the harbour-to-harbour air services getting a bigger market share I've noticed an improvement in BC Ferries 'foot panssenger' experience. There has been no improvement in the 'drive on experience' and I suspect it has to do with the fact that they're the only show in town. Open it up and see if will benefit us - the consumers.

You're on the Coast Punky. Just be grateful they don't send over a tug and barge and charge extra for the scenery.

Really?!?! people still wait in line? reservations folks. And for the "it costs too much $$$" brigade, redeeming 28000 Save-on-More points gets you a car and driver voucher. Shop there(espescially during "sky High " points week)buy Gas at Chevron and it happens quicker than you think.

Is it counter productive to ride on my exercise bike with a cocktail in hand?

That is great when you plan a trip somewhere weeks (sometime months) in advance, but it makes it hard to be spontaneous or to alter your plans once you have left.

I'm so glad the interior ferries are free. I used to get so pissed off when I lived on the SSC, now I only get pissed off once or twice a year when I visit. Can't believe how much they charge for a car and driver now, let alone a fcuking foot passenger.

except the Vancouver-Island routes are profitable and the subsidize the shitty smaller routes.

there is also a new private barge service that has kicked the shit out of BCferries commercial traffic
