BC drought and water use (merged)

There is a house at the top of Mtn Hwy that has a little stream of water leaking down their street-side embankment. Impossible to see if it is from a vegetable garden (unlikely) or from excess lawn watering (bingo!).

Those of us that have lived in Asia (or married into Asian families), already know to turn off the tap while we brush. Amazing eh! Imagine that - not wasting water, or electricity.

In other news, Nestle has made changes to improve the purity of it's chocolate products by removing artificial flavors and colors - with the goal of removing them from all 250 products by the end of the year.

It's a good company. And they are a responsible bottled water supplier too. If you are buying bottled water (for whatever non-wasteful reason), Nestle should be your choice if you are looking for a conscionable choice.

God damn I wish I had worked for Nestle. I'd be bigger than Arnold, fitter than Ronaldo and I'd have eternal life by now. Fucking magical.

In other news, Nestle has you covered should you wish to water your lawn during water restrictions.

"Nestle bottled water will water the fuck out of your lawn, it also doesn't have poo in it like tap water, you wouldn't want to sprinkle poo on your lawn would you" - Mr. Jack Nestle, 2015

Now you get the idea. The bottle with holes makes a good luxury shower head too.
Almost as good as the ones at Holiday Inn Express.

though i may not agree with everything he's saying, i like him. supports his arguments and doesn't get pissy despite the negativity thrown back. it's refreshing to hear someone with a contrarian viewpoint not being a cock about it.

I need to flush an 8" private water main at 1560 gpm tomorrow. Bring your Nestle bottle for a free refill!

I don't get why every flushing needs to go down the drain - when we are short on water as-is.

Why not capture it into a tanker truck(s) and then drop it back into a reservoir or some Golf course pond?

That's why I'm letting you know now so that you can bring a tanker or a 30km hose to fill your pool, even if it is at a golf course pond.

I know in the city of Delta they are using river water to water the plants and hanging baskets. I think they switched over a week before the latest water restrictions.
