Bad 80's TV

Does anyone remember this show?  Even at 10 years old I knew it was bad.  Between the horribly bad and sexist TV, the cereal made from concentrated sugar balls coated in sugar, and parents that would gladly send you away with strangers handing out free candy I really have no idea how my generation ever made it to adulthood.

I tried to re-watch an episode of Married With Children recently. Holy shit that didn’t hold up.

I had much higher hopes for Howard the Duck too. Oooof.

Maybe I need to get away from the animatronic main characters...

Anyone else absolutely live for Sledge Hammer?

I vaguely remember that one. Battlestar Galactica original series was sick. Still good the second time around. If you are a GenX er like me we are the latchkey generation. That's how we survived.

Jump Street, Miami vice, Buck Rogers ,       Ateam. All terrible television for sure.

Many of you don't know this but 80's Canadian television was many orders of magnitude worse than in the US. Holy shit was it bad. 😅 I spent summers in the States with my Dad TV was amazing.

I tried showing my kids Buck Rogers and Battlestar Galactica. They were like WTF.

The Love Boat, knots Landing? On the other side of the fence, Cheers and Night Court were a couple of my favourites. And for laughs who remembers the theme to The Greatest American Hero? I think George Costanza ripped it off with his outgoing message on his answering machine if I remember correctly.

Besides KITH, I only remember Hill Street Blues and the new Star Trek as being something I'd try to watch.

I loved Airwolf... I suspect it was not nearly as cool as I thought it was.

I remember being crushed that the A-Team was on the same night & time as my basketball practice, which meant I could never see it.

Loved the A-team. So many gunfights & no one ever got shot.

Still occasionally watch Al Bundy insult the fat chicks who come into his store, and also ogle over the hot ones. You could not get away with that nowadays. Kelly Bundy was hot as well.

There's a voice... That keeps on calling me... Down the road... Is where I'll always be...

Gawd that show was so awful. I couldn't stand it even as a little tyke.

On the upside it launched international superstars.
