You might just be the biggest piece of shit to ever waste the oxygen that the Corps has made free for you.

I feel no shame when I say DOUCHE BAG to shit like that. The rest of the world has no desire for the violent hate mongering bullshit that American's call freedom.

fuck off with that shit.
this is why the rest of the world hates americans.

this ^^^^^

But should we expect any less than malevolence towards anyone that has served, may think differently, or that has a right wing viewpoint at NSMB?

NBR has becoming a cesspool of socialist, leftwing moonbats that spew hate and vitriol at all they find variance with.

I agree with kthomas on this one, I did not read the book, did not wanted to, have read other books of this genre - and the comment on his death is off, even in my libera-ish, left-ish, European point of view.

I do not quite agree with you GT, tho….I think nsmb has always been a bit like that, the time when one could have a decent online argument has been a "has been" for quite some time now.

But then on the other hand - you say about your location that you are a rightwing nutjob with a weapon - no offence intended, but is this not a rather lame shot at irony/sarcasm and the like?

Sometimes I get the impression that not only the bat-shit crazy liberals and lefties/commies/socialists have become very intolerant and borderline-esque childish when it comes to differing opinions about anything nbr a user loves/likes/et al.

Arguing with decency and style indeed has more often than not gone downthe drain.
But who is to blame?

I am sure most of the people that post on NBR will find a way to blame Harper…

Really?

For me it’s not an issue of gun rights. It’s about property rights. A person has a natural right to own a hunk of iron in any damn shape they want, and they shouldn’t be criminalized until they use that hunk of iron to harm someone. People can argue crime statistics ’till they’re blue in face. I frankly don’t care about people’s ideas for managing society.
I'll be sure to read more of what this guy has to say. Maybe he can help me buy some Stingers and a half dozen Davy Crockets.

Back to this mental health theory a few posted about…

I have a question - what do you mean by "mental health", only such behaviour that might be a serious threat to society (split personality et al.), or those minor issues, such as inferiority complex issues, low self-esteem and the like as well?

It's a catch all phrase. What most people think is that it implies anything from anxiety from losing a job to severe depression, OCD, schizophrenia, neurosis, etc.

What's more important is how an individual reacts to external events, and not just internal ones. And the "win at all costs" or "losers are losers" mentality doesn't help, especially with the emofication of a generation.

I formed my opinion of him not from reading some Internet posting, but from reading Chris Kyle's book cover-to-cover some time ago (BTW if you read his book, and obviously you haven't, you'd know Chris Kyle had never been and never was a Marine).

He was no doubt highly skilled operator, but I was not impressed by among other things, the lack of professionalism as evidenced by his proselytizing (complete with "Crusader" tattoos), the public disrespect in his book for his brother SEALS (among them Jesse Ventura), his deep contempt for the people of nation he was supposed to be freeing. It is a BIG mistake that the Pentagon allows SEALS to be made into celebrities … most other elite clandestine organizations (eg the SAS) live by the code of the "shadow warrior". Silent, anonymous, professionals are tasked to perform without prejudice. Not politicized, self-serving inflated egos looking to profit from their service.

And you really have to question the judgement of whoever thought that taking veterans suffering from Combat PTSD to a gun range is a good idea.

…has been arrested and charged with five counts of third degree criminal possession of a weapon, for having empty 30 round AR-15 Magazines in his vehicle…Nathan thought these magazines were legally made before the New York Assault Weapons Ban. When Nathan Haddad was arrested the new ban had not even been fully enacted yet….

New York just passed a law to limit magazine sizes to 7 bullets. The previous maximum was 10 bullets. So even without the new law, a 30 round magazine would be illegal.

Really?

From your link: "the average number of people killed in a mass shooting when stopped by civilians is 2.2."

"Definition of a mass shooting, according to the FBI: four or more people in a single incident (not including the shooter), typically in a single location. "

It makes sense that fewer people die when civilians (seemingly mostly unarmed) stop a shooting. By the time it is obvious that civilians have failed and put a stop to the shooting, the police have shown up and put a stop to it. So its like when the cops show up and end it, and somehow they are responsible for people dying, right? How many times have civilians stopped a shooting after the police have failed to stop it? Do the statistics include the number of shootings where the shooter committed suicide (seems to be the most common outcome)? Who gets credit for for that? Civilians or police?

Even if it's only one percent, it's still a problem.

It's amazing how people act like they are being violated if they are told they cannot pack an Uzi. Hey, I'd like an RPG. It's great for moose hunting - cleans and quarters the moose for me!

Negative rep reply from Farmer:
You already need a class 3 license for an uzi (which basically bans it) you fucking stupid cunt. Pull your head out of your ass before tou enter the debate next time.

Tell me what state you live in so I can pass this onto the mental health check people.

Farmer sure loves his vagina-related insults doesn't he? Does he, perhaps, hate vaginas?

"stupid fucking cunt"

translated means:

I don't know how to make this vagina work.

Maybe he is just frustrated because he can't make vagina's work…
