how many people on this site a mtnbike site based in canada with mostly canuckians posting own a gun or guns let alone a handgun or assault rifle, probably not that many maybe a fe long guns BUT ask that same question on a paddling site or a ski site based in america with mostly americans posting and they will post up enough guns to take over a small latin american country because its the culture

ok guns don't kill people, people kill people, so does that means there are more Amercians who turned out to be natural born killers or does shit happen while there are just too many guns around?

Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.

It truly amazes me how quickly the NRA publicity and lobby machines work. You guys really drank that kool-aid quickly…

I have never watched an NRA ad or read any of the stuff they put out recently.

BTW, that same kool-aid comment could easily be made about the gun banning crowd. :D

So on Jan. 24, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) introduced S. 150, her long-anticipated bill to ban "assault weapons" and "large" magazines.

Under this ban, this shotgun would be banned:

This rifle would be banned:

But this rifle would still be legal.

Full details on the ban here

Can anyone explain how this is actually going to work, or how Feinstein actually thinks that the courts will rule this constitutional? Fortunately there are plenty of Democrats and Republicans who favor gun rights so this will not pass.

USA, no gun control

Germany, gun control

Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws.

That's like saying "We don't need laws, checks, enforcement, penalties against drinking and driving because there are always people will always drink and drive."

Alright go-t, explain how in Canada, with extremely tough gun laws (especially for pistols) criminals were able to shoot each other publicly back in 2007ish when all of the foreign gang turf wars were going on around Vancouver?

Criminals don't listen to gun laws.

Wow, that's just dumb. That pissy little blip in crime statistics didn't even change the national average. Average US city has more murders in a week than Vancouver does in a year.

I don't believe Americans are natural born killers but have the tools lying around all over the place so when shit happen its easy to reach for the gun
