[QUOTE=hecklin at y'all;1910726]I think that is same mill Noel's brother works at. He was telling a story about something like that happening.

Did his steel toe boots set off the metal detectors stopping the chipper?

Sucks to be in that situation.

Tim

no. But fortunatily for the guy he walked away with no appearant serious injuries, (even though when he was found he wasnt breathing,) off work though for 10 weeks until he medically cleared to return to work, which is a credit to his co-workers and the fire and rescue team, and the heli ambulance out of vancouver for there quick response time.

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

The guy I was talking about didn't fare so well.

Apparently he got caught in some gearing while it was getting worked on. Was pulled through and pretty cut and chopped up. The main body was headed for the chipper but his boots triggered the metal detector and thus he was found.

Stay safe out there.

Tim

Red meat is not bad for you, its green fuzzy meat that's bad for you.

Ya like the "Cowboy" hardhats for all the tools who have to show their "cowboyness" even at work. The Hard Turbin could be the next big thing. I'd get one!

hahaha yea I rock the cowboy hard hat

I know this horse is dead, but I just read 214 frikin posts and I'm going to have
my say.

When I worked in the electronics shop, we were not allowed to wear any jewelry.
No wedding rings, ear rings, bracelets, medallions, necklaces, nothing. It didn't
matter if it was a religious symbol or a symbol of your love.

It was so you wouldn't get welded to a live circuit board.

I can't help but feel that there is some kind of compromise that could be had here.
As said before, a hardhat turban or putting a hardhat on top of the turban.

There's a point at which you're just being a pain in the ass just to be a pain in the
ass.
