You have to use smbfs as far as I know, and mount the windows share as a smbfs filesystem to some mount point on your computer.
frickin easier said than done. I need a LUG (linux users group) or something in the lower mainland. Thanks FJ
well its not a linux user group but you get support like 24 hours a day if you pay like the 40 dollars for it. And when i got mine i got a free foam penguin. doesn't get much better than that.
I run Red Hat 7 and I am having the same problem. I have used SATAN and that doesn't help. The other comps use Win ME, Win XP and Mac OS X
have you gone through the linux how-to docs? that's where I learned most of my linux stuff… they're usually pretty good
ride street? bmx.
sorry, i don't know how to help you with your problem.
chickenlover - you may want to check out redhat 8 - its a lot more polished interface, and has less graphical interface problems. my only complaint about it is it didn't allow the use of "gedit" (code editor). however, it comes with "nedit", which supports more languages. if you can get the upgrade for low $$, its definately worth checking out, IMO.
