So I heard a book I really enjoyed was being made into a television series on Netflix.

I groaned.

It's out.  I watched a few and I'm fucking blown away.

Ya it looks good.  I haven't started watching it yet but I will this weekend.  When it comes to new TV shows Netflix is killing it.

I haven't watched a television program in pretty much forever, so take my praises for what they're worth.

Also, I can't remember the books at all (aside from remembering I really liked them).  So the fact that they likely don't match them is 100% OK for me...

Hmm, I like cyberpunk, haven't read the book but will check out the show as I've heard all the hype this week.

Watched a couple episodes so far. Looks good, acting is good. Story is a bit lame so far but heard it gets better. Hope it does well and heard a season 2 will be going into production. Which is great news for my industry because its shot here.

For what it's worth.  I have to pause the show every bit to explain to my wife what's happening.

If you aren't really into Sci-Fi... well, you should be.

Apparently it was like shooting a feature film for 8 months instead of 2. Had a huge prep crew, soaked up a lot of members in our local.

Think I'm just a bit over half way through now.  I'm going to have to re-read the book as I don't think half of this stuff is in it.  Still good though.

There are one or two cast members I kind of wince a bit when they're on the screen but for the most part they are amazing.

And the production of it is mind blowing.. so cool it was done by people here.

The initial story is a bit thin, but it picks up after a few episodes and so far I'm impressed.  My initial reaction was "Oh boy, another season about a single murder." but it's growing past that in a good way.
