Aftermarket wheels

I asked the parts department where I bought my car recently how much an OEM upsize wheel is. $500, JC, that's too much.

Can I get some recommendations on a retailer for aftermarket wheels. I'm currently looking at 1010 and kaltire.

I got kinda burned by 1010, mostly because they use UPS to ship. UPS delivered 3 wheels, one at a time, over two weeks, and then claimed to have delivered the 4th wheel. After a week to make a claim with 1010, the last wheel was delivered 2 weeks later. So 6 weeks to deliver in-stock wheels from Richmond to Calgary.

Kaltire will order wheels from a larger number of manufacturers than they advertise, so check with them to see if they can get what you want. Every Kaltire I've dealt with has been awesome, and they have free popcorn.

If you're in the lower mainland, drop by a Volco Tire. I've bought sets of OEM wheels there. Most I paid was $500. Apparently people buy new vehicles and immediately change their wheels (and tires).

tirerack.com

I've bought several sets of wheels and tires through them. Over the years they've really improved how their shipments get handled at the border too, so you don't get screwed on brokerage.

Some tires have comparable prices in Canada, but not many. Have yet to see a wheel come in cheaper to Canada.

Discount tire.com has a few nice options possibly. You can email them and then drive down to mount and instal or ship them or just pick them up (obv).

Thats the site where I found the wheels I wanted but ended up buying them from erz performance. Drag-38's in the blue undercut, kinda purdy imo. 4 wheels shipped for $540.
