Oh and not having seen IronMan2 - I lol'd when I heard about all the Oracle plugs in it.

Oddly enough right after I seen Ironman II I went home and spun up an Oracle database. I'm not sure why, but I did.

More product placements than a Dave Norona thread.

So many freaks, so few circuses.

… but it's getting really ridiculous.

what's really ridiculous is that this is even a concern for people.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

yeah, the soundtrack thing is brand new and pisses me off to no end.

oh wait….

when you consider that it's nothing more than regurgitated AC/DC songs from the last 3 decades with a fancy "IronMan2" label on it, you realize why I posted it.

shitface.

I like skipping my adverts, so when they become a blatant part of the content of the show I'm watching, then it irritates me. I'm fine with product shown quietly off to the side, but when it's a scene and the dialogue is an advert, then that's just bad.

LOL. The PVR killed your tv viewing pleasure. The 'blogs' figured this would happen a few years ago. Fewer people are watching 'live tv' instead they are recording and skipping commercials.

hol-ee shit but that's a big hole

I love how people get all worked up about ads. I'm no fan of listening to irritating commercials, but you've got to realize they're what's paying for the show you're watching. Sure, you could say that if actors were paid salaries that weren't quite so astronomically high we wouldn't need as much advertising revenue, but that's a whole other argument. As long as I keep downloading movies and TV shows without paying for them, I'll put up with some product placement…

Way back from the old school days of NSMB…

Agreed, but my complaint is not with product placement, it's with sections of dialogue being an advert in the show.
