On sunday I caught a CBC program talking about AB+ so I instaled and I can't see any of the adds on any of the websites where I normaly play a know-it-all
Any downsides to AB+ ?
As a confirmed outlier I know I never bought any of that shit they advertise but now I just don't have to look at it with scorn either

Some news sites won't let you see their content unless you disable the ad blocker. This means that you go back one page and then google the thing you were looking for, viewing it on another news site.

my favourite is when sites like vital ask you to white list them, then they pre-roll video ads over content that isn't even theirs or hosted on their site….and that's why I only visit your site for World Cup DH/EWS slideshows

Been using ABP for a decade, I couldn't imagine the net without it.
I use it (ABP) after more than one forum/site I visit had their ad service compromised (this site was one of them)and infected my system with malware.
Only downside I have experienced is a short delay playing Youtube videos that normally have ad content at the start.
