Well, I am aiming to spend 7000 + trade in. With my haggling abilities + trade in, I could have driven the DX away yesterday. As for the SI, going down there today.
Loopie, what would you get for 10G?? I'm going to take a stab at it but I am guessing an older 4runner, drop a couple of G's into
a serious lift, monster tires and all the good stuff. Correct? ;)

I understand the whole this with the wife. That's why I have the 4-Runner and the other half has the Toyota Tercel. A bomb proof little car I might add! Yeah, I didn't mean to sound like I was talking down to you with the visiting a reputable dealer thing. I guess that is obvious…sorry…

As for the Civic…that's what we were looking at originally…but we couldn't find one in our price range or that hadn't been driven into the ground. So we went with a Tercel…not as stylin' as the Civic…

My parent's got a smokin' deal in Onatrio on a little Civic. It's a 93 and had 30000kms on it when they got it from a dealership that picked it up on trade in. It was the typical "owned by a little old lady that used it to get groceries" car. They got it for $4000.00!!! It's insane! My dad is working on doing it up with a body kit and all that crap. (midlife?)

Honda's are brainwash(for the money). Forget that shit unless you are a true follower.(or just wanna pay all your money up front and forget about it. That IS a legit reason btw).
I GAURANTEE that Honda's are two grand over priced just becuase it has a Honda badge.
If you're strictly about the last penny and dollars and cents…..go with the Toyota equivalent. Just as dependable in the LOOOONG run…but cheaper.

For 10G's….you probably don't wanna hear what I'd get:D **

You're just a honda hater.
I love mine, and I don't think I would own any other car. The one I bought was a 1997, 8000$ from the Honda Dealership, and it had 66 000 km on it. The only thing I have had to fix on it was change the break pads and that's it. It's perfect for me because I don't care about having a flashy fast car, and it gets awesome gas mileage.
Just because someone drives a honda doesn't make them a true follower, maybe I should invest all my money in an old piece of shit mustang.

get a 92 prelude man. civics are not bad but why drive an overpriced trend wagon. or get a jetta turbo deisel, you can get almost 1000 kms on one 20 dollar tank

i agree Hondas are overpriced comparing to the demestic cars, but you are paying for the quality and durability. A domestic car will probably cost you most over the years from repairs and maintenance.

like i would rather buy a Hayes Hydro once instead of buying a RST hydro(if they mad eone) and fixing it every week.

for my 96 civic, i can go to whistler and back (260km) for about $10 at the the current high price of 75.9, which is just a bit under half a tank. And thats from hard driving too, passing cars and reving it way up, wasnt even trying to conserve fuel.

Christina loves me:kiss:

As for what I'd be getting with 7+G's?….these days I'm leaning towards the BMW's….I had no idea you could get into the ealy '90's body style for under 10g:)
A good candidate for a 5.0 V8 swap too if you're into that:cool:

holy shit bigdaddy! The more I look at the Honda section at canadatrader……those two cars you're looking at are TOTAL rip offs:eek:
btw…..try to sell your vehicle so you can also shop privately. Just reduce you're price…somone will buy it. At 300,000k's…the dealer doesn't want it either….but what some dealers do, like the two you've looked at….will overprice the car by 2-3000 and then give you what YOU think is fair for you're vehicle….it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside….but really you just got ripped.
Plus you pay both taxes at a dealer…plus an $80-150 "documentation" fee.
It's nice to buy from a dealer sometimes…..but living at the coast…you have LOTS of private vehicles to shop from:)
