I was wondering the same thing. I buy my gas in litres, and drive in Kms, so I get about 7 or 8 kms per litre. 350 - 400 kms per tank, tank = 50 litres.

It's around 12L/100km which isn't too bad.
What kind of car?

really?
Those 4.oL are usually gas pigs. My brother had one, and went through as much gas as I do in my V8!
You must drive nice and easy, unlike him who drove like Schumacher on a hot lap.

350-400km per 50L tank is actually about 12.5 to 14.3L/100km

I just drive normal. I only punch it if I have to, to avoid a collision or whatever. Also, I keep it tuned up, which probably helps a lot.

90 4-runer with stock tire ,the 3-litre v6 would get 25mpg at highway speed when the engine was in good tune

If the valves needed adjustment /worn plugs/plugged aircleaner ,under a load that would drop closer to 20

that would likely be the same for all those old toyota PU's and 4-runers

the 4 cylinders would get 27mpg

why do we use MPG? for reference to vehicles we have known in the past

Your math is much stronger than my math.

so climbng the malahat =1mpg? :ohthedrama:

pretty much, foot to the floor, 3rd gear, 65-70km/h tops. Save gas on the downhill though.. just stick it in 5th and let off the gas. Needs 5.29's, I don't wheel it hard enough to worry about breakin em.

Unless your Ranger is a special edition gas tank I think your tank is 60 litres.

I'm the best at being modest !

I'm happy to get outside and enjoy nature while I can, but I fear for the future of humanity

I hit 23 mpg for the first time ever I think with a full tidy tank today going out to mission.
Weighed the truck today not sure how accurate the scale was and I'm way over 7000 pounds
Tidy tank weights 400 pounds or so plus around 100 gallons at roughly 8-9 pounds per gallon
I was 7632 on the scales roughly with some other stuff in the back
