Oh Emm Geeeeee. Now I can't pass on information to my heroooooo.
Just stop trying.
Just stop trying.
To do?
Saint John
1.No good riding, bad scene
2. Dirty
3. It's in NB
perth west australia
its not whistler british columbia :(
Sechelt:
1.)Too many stoners
2.)No recreational facilities
3.)No fast, dependable transportation to Vancouver
And Montreal, which is expensive because all the anglophones in Quebec huddle together for support.
I agree that complaining about living in Vancouver is like whining about having too much money but Montreal can't be called expensive. The ratio between the quality of life and real estate price is probably better than any city in North America. Rents are cheap and so are house prices.
For example - central Montreal - 1600 sq for 299
That same place anywhere in Vancouver that could be called central would probably knock you up for 750 at least.
Things I dislike about North Van (there's nothing I hate).
1) It's the suburbs.
2) Everything closes down at 6:00 pm.
3) Too many nimbys/whiners.
4)Property Crime (three car stereos in 6 months).
Things I love about North Van.
1) Being able to pedal from home, ride a world class trail and be home in 90 minutes.
2) 50 or 60 world class trails a short distance from where I live
3) the seabus to get downtown in 15 minutes with no traffic to deal with (and you can bring your bike)
4) I can walk to get groceries and pretty much everything else I need.
5) It's easy to get everywhere on the North Shore except when the bridges are messed.
6) Living in the mountains!
7) 90 minutes to Whistler and three ski resorts 15 minutes from where I live.
8 ) It's in B.C.!
9) Lots and lots of trees!
Only one thing I hate about Burnaby (Vancouver, doesn't matter)
1- that I didn't move here earlier.

Things I hate about living here in Vancouver……
Can't think of anything right now…..
My beefs about people's beefs..
Traffic… try sitting in a car when it is 37 degrees outside on a highway that is at a standstill… 6 lanes each way… and then complain about traffic. Toronto's 401, 404, and 403!
How people can complain about this place where I can leave work and shred either the mountains with my board in the winter… still not liking the winter biking… thin skinned i guess! Or ride my bike here or better… drive my ass up one of the most scenic roads I have ever driven on and ride in Squamish or Whistler.
Trying living in another province or another country and I am sure that all that bickering would end pretty fast.
I agree with mattj in that the only real thing I hate is that it took me far too long to move here.
It's nice outside… go ride!
maybe hate was too harsh of a word…. Cam's "dislike" is more appropiate.
PS: right now in my life, I would not rather live anywhere else in the planet… your going to have beefs anywhere you live. I just wanted to know what other people disliked about the city they live in.
:canada:
Duncan.
1- It's duncan, that's all there is to it, at least theres a ton of wicked riding here.
Yah the riding rocks in Duncan, the rest of the city is crap, same with experience cycling…that shop has the worst staff now, probably wont ever go back to them for service. Iguana is a cool shop, kinda weird that it has no relation to Iguana ranch.
Whistler, BC
I've been here for two years, and so far the things that irk me are:
-Rent and groceries are expensive!
-Good friends always end up leaving town
-There is little diversity in attitudes, interests, and age.
