2019 NHL Playoff Thread

Anyone else excited for this post season?

It's gonna be gooooood.

Obviously we need predictions and claims so I'll start with the unthinkable:

Upset of the Year: Torts and the Blue Jackets take the Lightening in 6. Minds proceed to be blown. They will then be be swept or escorted out of the 2nd round in 5 for irony.

West: Despite just how well built Nashville is, it's with a certain amount of sadness as a Canucks fan that I say Calgary will come out on top. Somethings tells me their playoff level of gameplay is going to be something to behold as they seem just be able to dig deeper and deeper.

East: Completely unsure but I'd like to see a repeat win for the Caps just because it's been a while for a repeat but, Crosby and co do play nemesis for Ov and the Caps. I dont expect much from the Leafs even though I'm sort of pulling for them.

Unrelated to the playoffs, Florida was lucky to get the 'Villen.

I am more interested in the draft.  : )  You just know the Canucks will get a shitty pick, but I am still interested.  The playoffs should be good with all that parity this year but without a dog in the fight i will probably wait until the later rounds before watching many of the games.

Winning doesn't know class all the time. And its a refreshing change to see some emotion.

He could have another cup - bobrovsky is underrated.

I didnt expect a sweep when I made the upset claim. Also kinda underestimated the Isles as I didnt hear too much about them.

But, the only thing crazier than both the Lightning and Penguins being swept in the same round would be both of them coming back from a 3-0 deficit in the same round.

Not even sure who the victim of Ovechkins sweet straight right was but WHY would you fight OV?
