Monaco was a terrible race.
2018 F1 thread.
It has been for a long time.
I think if they let if run the full distance it could have been more interesting. Definitely no places to pass with these caliber of cars tho
Monaco is just different, it all comes down to pit lane passing so you can't fuck that up like Ferrari did...or you pay the price. Alonso said it was very easy to keep Hamilton behind him...and you could see the frustration in Hammy's driving...lol...I was loving it. Was good to see the #2 drivers leading...stoked for Checo!
Good point about Ricciardo. He must really be feeling the heat with Lando outdoing him regularly.
Gotta say I am impressed with Bottas getting a lot out of that Alfa. Most of his weekends this season have been solid. He must enjoy out-qualifying Lewis.
Yeah, the rumor I keep on hearing is that Gasly is going to replace DR....would be sad to see him get the boot...but he's just not driving that well. With that said, Lando has been killing it...he's impressed me this year!
Yeah, love seeing Bottas doing well in that car....let's hope that trend continues...lol. Maybe DR will be his teammate next year?
It's a bummer that Ricciardo has been going downhill since he left Red Bull. His hugely entertaining personality in the first season of Drive To Survive was probably responsible for a large number of new F1 fans.

Very entertaining race today. Leclerc is pissed. If Ferrari had double stacked him & Sainz under the safety car I dunno if they'd have come out in front of Lewis, though.
What a great race that was. Sainz with his first W and Hamilton back in the mix.
Yep, super entertaining race from start to finish. Glad everyone was OK at the start, and so many battles throughout. It looks like the 2022 changes to reduce dead-air are really starting to make for some exciting battles, now that the porpoising is getting under control.

Interesting how Red Bull and Ferrari differed between yesterday's sprint and today's race.
In the last race weekend it appeared that track temperatures played a big part in that.
Leclerc must just be fuming
I was pissed at Leclerc for wiping out, but I think Christian Horner put it in context fairly well.

Can't get a single point if you don't finish. Ferrari has to get better consistency in their cars and their drivers.
Way to go lawrence stroll you killed sebs career
