He's totally right about the NFL. The money for the athletes is so big that they choose to pursue football instead of other sports.
Its the same reason there hasn't been any formidable heavyweight champs in years, all the big boys that could have turned into great fighters are recruited early into the NFL. Only the dropouts later make it to other sports.

Kind of funny when you say the drop outs in other sports. Bob sled and rowing pretty much gets all their athletes from other sports. Rowing Ontario has a training facility attached to Queens. Pretty much all the rowers currently their where cut from regular varsity programs.

Just listened to ski half-pipe gold medal winner David Wise being interviewed on the Jim Rome show. He sounded like a class guy. Only 23 years old [HTML_REMOVED] spoke very well. No ugly American there.
