Great hit, shitty result. Gryba got two games for a clean hit. Diaz should feel like shit for sending up the middle like that. Hate to see the end result of Eller on the ice like that but it was a clean hit.

He got 2 games for a hit on a vulnerable player. The hit was "clean" but he knew that Eller wasn't looking and hit him anyways…not the best decision in this case.

Why is that funny? Do you need to be…

a dh racer to be serious about dh racing?
a racing driver to be serious about formula one?
a politician to be serious about politics?
a porn star to be serious about porn?
a woman to be serious about women?
a book to be serious about literature?
a doctor to be serious about health?

Those may not all work.
What I find funny is when people watch hockey who aren't serious about it - or at least interested in the outcome. What could be more boring than watching something you don't care about.

It has more to do with sports than the other examples. Some people get so wrapped up in the outcomes of a game which really doesn't affect their life. If "their" team wins, are they better than someone whose team doesn't?

You just don't get what being a fan is. It is not about being better than other people. Some of the most fun I have had at hockey games are when I have gone with fans from the opposing team. It is a way to throw an element of competition into a social context.

I like your take on being a fan but unfortunately a lot of people take professional sports pretty serious. I do like to Cam the gears on his beloved Cannots.

Thats what pisses me off. Player A sends a pass to Player B where Player B is vulnerable because he is looking back at the pass. Player C goes to make contact and he makes a clean hit and because of the irresponsible actions of Player A and B, Player C suspended.

Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.

they also call me "balloon"

I like the ones who only think it is/was a great game if the Canucks won. Don't matter if it was the most boring Devils/Wild/Lightning hybrid trap dump and chase shit show, if the Nucks finished ahead on the board, its OMGZ cup iz arez! Which way to teh RioT!

Okay, first three minutes and C'nooks kept the puck in SJ end almost 100% of the time. All they need to do is keep it up for this + three more games!!

More importantly, should I crack a beer or pour a scotch?
