Could you actually see the game? I mean, without watching on the big screen?

That picture is the view from my seat, so yeah I could see the game. When the puck was in the corner or in scrums in front of the net I watched the screen though.

I think that Heritage game was a big joke. I'd never attend such a thing, how do u see anything from a mile away? What a waste of money for a glamourized indoor game.

God forbid they EVER open that roof. I was at a whitecaps game last summer, sunny +25c and still they don't open it.

I wasn't any farther away from the ice than a seat in the balcony at Rogers Arena. The roof stayed closed because of rain, meh.

I've also been to a whitecaps and lions game and the roof was open for both in nice weather.

It was a fun experience that you really can't appreciate unless you are there.

It is too bad it wasn't just a degree or two colder on Sunday. It snowed all day in Squamish.

I figured missing the heritage classic had to be an omen. Now where to spend the money?

Spend? I'm pretty sure we are dishing more talent. Philli and Pitts have both put offers on Kesler and there's a handful of weaker offers for Edler allegedly.

How much does Gillis get paid?

Well, unless the Aquilinis want to start getting around town in an armoured car they better not change their habit of spending at our close to the cap, so even if we do dish Kesler or Edler (everyone that went to Sochi apparently) I am guessing they are looking at the market to add some talent.

Luongo GONE…..FINALLY

BAck to Florida, he should be happy now.

……..He now joins Tim Thomas, the goaltender he faced in the 2011 Stanley Cup Final when they lost to the Boston Bruins

into another frying pan.

How the eff does Pittsburgh have the room to put an offer on Kesler?

… And got no one for him. A goalie with 1 win in 12 GP (sounds like they just needed a body), and someone to be named (which leads me to believe its some 5th round draft pick that'll never step foot in the NHL).

I really and truly can't believe that Mike Gillis still exists in the NHL. Its ludicrous that he has a job anywhere.

They dont really, unless they move someone. Luckily (for them) Kesler's cap hit isnt massive.

Oh wait,

Markstrom has spent the majority of the year with the Panthers AHL affiliate in San Antonio where he was recently named AHL goalie of the month

WOOHOO! What a deal. One of the best goalies in the league for someone who got an AHL goalie of the month award.
