No way!!! They can still make the playoffs!

They should have traded the sisters during this past offseason. Could have gotten more for them at that time than now. It'd be great to still have Schneider. At least the Canucks would have a solid building block in net to build a team.

I just awoke from a scary dream. Aquiloonie fires Gillis and gives the GM hat to his boy Torts. I don't think I'll sleep tonight.:dizzy:

How can anyone even say anything about Torts? The guy hasn't even had a chance to coach a team this year. Half the teams been injured and he's inherited a team thats obviously been in trouble before his start.

Either way, he definitely deserves a fair shot.

Gillis on the other hand has got to go already.

I agree with Damian. Torts hasn't had enough time. Gillis has consistently made bad decisions.

This actually could be the best thing to happen.
(Aside from bringing in a rockstar GM .. which likely won't happen).

torts is far too emotional to be a good gm. all I can see is a rerun of the Keenan years.

4-0 Edmonton.

It's time to abandon our team. Trade Luongo, fire Tort's.

Rebuild.

So …

Anyone gonna watch the Ducks put the final nail in the Canucks coffin tonight?

I will have it on as putter around the house, not like I will glued to my seat by any means…

didn't the Oilers beat the Ducks last night?

The top teams will be resting their best players in prep for the playoffs and not risking injury when they have nothing to gain in the last few games, especially on the road.

Yeah, but based on recent performance, Ana's third line will still win the day. We'll see … seems more of Vancouver's team is healthy right now than any other time this year.

The Canucks are all thinking about their new irons and booking trips to sunny locales. Not too interesting watching them call it in against a team that is good but is probably also calling it in as they coast to the finish.

OTOH, Anaheim is only a point ahead of San Jose and Colorado. One slip and they move from second to fourth in playoff seeding. I'd guess there is some strong incentive to stay on top of that situation.
