probably not considering gillis gave him a 5yr contract.
Maybe they will. The Canucks tend to enjoy paying people even though they no longer play/work for them ;)
Ive offered my services as GM. Im still waiting to hear.

I think Torts will stay for next season but I am not sure many players are safe over the summer. As for Gillis who knows. The Aquilinis have not exactly shown themselves able to make the hard decisions.
I think the strategy will pan out. It makes sense that if your team is not scoring, you
1) Make a trade so that you have rookies playing both #1 goaltender and backup (because you can always afford to let 1 or 2 goals in for the sake of the learning process)
2) And while the rookies are still learning the ropes in goal, cripple your offense by desperately trying to trade the most dynamic offensive player on your team
It all makes sense now. The road to the playoffs will be more like a cakewalk.

To be fair, when it comes to goal the Canucks have been all about the back up for years now. Start the clock for the big Lack demotion.
We have a dynamic offensive player?

This.
Is it his whopping 39 points overall (good for 86th in the league, and 0.6 PPG).. or his phenomenal -11 rating that makes him so dynamically offensive?

I think when you lead the team in scoring (21 goals) and hits (107), its fair to say you are the most dynamic offensive player on the team. Kesler is 14th in goalscoring among all centres in the league. The top 3 are Pavelski (32), Crosby (29) and Getzlaf (29). Not bad for a 2nd liner.

fyp.
I'm really hoping to see luongo get a shutout tonight.
Hahha. Is Bobby Lou gonna get a shutout in his first game as a Panther?
Yes he will.

Eat it torts and Gillis.
Fucking awesome.
LOL, ouch….
i bet tickets for Mar 16th are suddenly going up in value.
We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

Gillis has torn down the house what Burke built.
Thread killer
 at Luongo shutout, he stopped the worst team in the league after they traded away Vanek, then Moulson and Ott…any of us here could have gotten that shutout!
