2012 has been a pretty good year so far, much better than 2011.

-40+ days on the snowboard last winter
-bought a new vehicle on the first day of 2012
-around 30 days in the saddle so far, more to come this fall
-more money in the bank than ever before
-I've only worked 4 months of the year/I only have 4 weeks of work contracts left then FREEDOM!
-planning a trip to mexico for 4 weeks in November
-maybe a riding trip for a few weeks in the states before I leave for mexico?
-moved in to a nice 1bdrm suite a few months ago, perfect place for me

By comparison, in 2011 I had a bunch of crappy things happen:
-major car accident that should have killed me
-stupid cop had my car towed 75km from the accident scene because he thought I was drinking and wanted to "teach me a lesson", which cost me $1000 out of my pocket. I hope he felt like a jackass after I cleared a urine test.
-insurance didn't cover the accident so not only did pay $1k for the tow, but I had to pay the bank out for $5k I still owed on the vehicle, plus buy a new car :(
-girlfriend left me somewhere in there
-financial devastation after the police/insurance/ex-gf took me to the cleaners.
-all around not-so-great year.

Every year is a great year. Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff.

Basically I'll always remember 2012 as the year I drank the Kool-Aid..

Tastes good, doesn't it?

I feel as if I am about to enter the age of aquarius and being flooded with enlightenment as I level up.

Well not really…and being on the verge of ww3 kinda sucks.
