I feel as if I am about to enter the age of aquarius and being flooded with enlightenment as I level up.

Disturbing change of attitude in parents… any alien abductions reported in Shaughnnessey?
This has been a stressful but good year. New baby, just learned my job in time to move to a new job, got a fantastic experience in Hawaii this summer, promotion (includes pay raise), and hopefully next month I'll take my career on an entirely new track that I didn't even think about a few months ago. It'll mean a lot of time in Northern Alberta, but I get a year long course in SoCal or England first. Now if I can only get the wife back on the bike after the baby…
Being cheap is OK. Being a clueless sanctimonious condescending douchebag is just Vlad's MO.
i should add that not ALL of 2012 so far has been bad:
- i have my health.
- i've lost approx 12lbs so far and i'm in the best riding shape i've ever been (and i'm pretty frackin old lol).
- i've been riding way more than usual and have enjoyed every minute of it, sometimes i think that's the only thing holding me together.
- and i've just found a new riding partner and will hopefully start pushing myself again (need someone to call 911)
- and i love where i live
2012 is good. I'm still not dead. That makes me happy.
no complaints worth mentioning….
If you look at the big picture and realize we are so lucky to live in the best province in the best country in the world, we all got it good. Plus we get to bike in places known the world over. Most things are good for me. The only bad thing is my uncle is dying of cancer. He's not expected to make it thru the summer.

If 2012 is bad, it would have sucked big time to have lived in the 1939 to 1945 years.
It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities.

Every time I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for the future of the human race.

Let's see my 2012:
I was named Tianjin EF teacher of the year for the second year in a row. (EF is the name of the company I work for)
I quit working at EF.
Nobody close to me died.
I Met and shacked up with my future ex-wife.
My sister and mother both got jobs in China.
I got a drivers license. I Have driven my fiance's golf twice and hated every minute of it.
I am registered in Athabasca university's online program. I will be starting towards a degree in commerce in October and I have enough money to graduate debt free.
Basically I'll always remember 2012 as the year I became a real person.
