OK ok ok - so maybe the world isn't going to end, but WTF is up with this year?

Just in my neigbourhood / circle of friends:

- local coffee shop that is a bit of an icon is changing hands and name as the couple who started it / were running it are splitting

- also in the local neighbourhood - another long term couple has split in a messy way

- two other pair of friends who have 2 kids together (i.e. two separate couples) are also splitting

- the two big local music festivals - Vancouver Island Music Fest and the Big Time Out both basically underwent total regime changes.

This is just the tip of the iceberge…

Dude how do you make it through the day, knowing that not only did your coffee shop change ownership, it also changed names. I'm sure there is a support group for that. Lol.

Ya 2012 was a tuff year for family and friends, but I'd fail to compare to those issues.

Alot of what's happening has to do with the economy. The easy money is just not there anymore, plus we're taxed so much. It puts stress on families [HTML_REMOVED] spouses.

sounds like a mildly abnormal year for 1/7,000,000,000th of the population

this space is intentionally blank, other than this note about it being blank.

Me too. New baby girl, a few friends got married, a few more had kids, work is going good, beer is still readily available, Curiosity lands on Mars.

2012 has definitely sucked for me and i don't see that changing any time soon. by fall of 2013 things should be better, i hope.

but i'm fairly certain the shootings in the US have nothing to do with it. ha

2012 has been going well overall over here. Work is rocking, initiated and created the Squampton B-Team chapter, house was remortgaged, my 3.5 year old is loving trail rides.

the bb is getting a little emo, though. but that's okay in such an emo thread. fight fire with fire

Well - crazy part is for me, 2012 is really starting to rock. Landed $100K of new contracts this week - awesome new girl friend - things are looking up.

Weird energy…
