I think in canada we have a lot more regulations having to do with gun storage. I know handguns have to be kept un-loaded and partially dissasembled in a locked box.
In the states people keep loaded guns under thier pillow. I think a lot of these murders that happen in fits of rage wouldn't happen if the person had to load and assemble their gun before firing. Those two minutes would probably be enough time for a lot of people to step back from the brink of insanity.

I used to be all about defending canada as a pretty good country with guns and what not. until I met a guy. This guy is 21 and makes obcene amounts of money by smuggling US military weapons into canada. I have seen loaded m16's with laser sights and a some crazy sniper rifle with huge ass rounds.
He says that it's all the ethnic gangs buying em right now. Scariest part is, he said that since the 'market' in vancouver is so flooded with handguns right now, everything is dirt cheap.
Pretty eff'n scary if u ask me. And yet my front door remains unlocked.

Ha we got nothing on Japan, suicide is somewhat honorable there.
So many people were throwing themselves in front of trains that the families of the deceased can now be fined for it.
Bringing a fine upon your family is very dishonorable so people are finding more considerate ways to off themselves now.

I do believe Sweden has a very high sucide rate also, although the do have one of the highest life "ratings" in the world. It is a real head scratcher for most trying to figure that one out
