I guess there aren't any mountains in Alberta.

The road riding around Black Diamond (Sw of Calgary to south of Bragg Creek) is amazing. No traffic, smooth farmer roads that dip in and out of gullies. Plenty of 1k 8-12% little climbs, great views of the Rockies. They should do whole race there next year. Add Highwood Pass, or Mount Norquay as a finish in the mountains.

The only real thing I miss of the 7-8 years I was there in terms of riding was the road routes. Wonderful, hands down better road riding than here, unless you like doing Cypress repeats. The wind blows though.
