not surprised one bit .
i remember back in the late 70's, early 80's all the talk was how many golf courses were going to have to be built to keep up with the expected growth in golf . i seem to recall the number was like 15 courses in the sea to sky alone .
well we wound up with 8 , one went tits up in short order, furry creek is barely hanging on , and the others i think are just holding steady . . . not a lot of growth
i think everyone assumed the boomers were going to do just what their parents did.
i like golf . it's a fun game , but i think folks (of any age) nowadays are looking to get more out of their leisure time than shelling out some pretty big bucks to walk around on a big lawn for a minimum of four hours.
