The best thing about ordering a Surly from Mighty is that they might cut you a deal on a Bill or Ted trailer for touring. Right, old_school_noob?
This is my new replacement Steel disc bike. It has all the braze-ons, and the disc mounts.
im leaning towards the same bike, whats your thoughts on the 69 degree head angle? seems kind of slack.

I am going to be using it as a touring/gravel/cx/winter trainer bike, so an everything bike.
I think the 68 deg and the length will be helpful on the long days and if I want to take it on more tech trails than UBC. When I ride gravel i like the increased stability, It will not replace my main CX race bike or My road Race bike because it is too long and too slack.
Go in and talk to the guys, I know at one point or another they have ridden all of the Brodies and Surlys for an extended time and can steer you to what you want.
Not steel but disc and cx. Im thinking about ordering one for commuting and winter training.

Yes nice wright up from a sponsored rider. Kind of biased though.
For the price I´m thinking about ordering the complete build with some upgrades. XO chainset with better cassette/chain tyres, saddle, bars, shorter 80mm stem. Comes in at about 2800usd total.
Just ordered myself a Pickenflick with XO chainset. Should be delivered next week.
I build up my monster next week.
Anyone know if there is an adapter to convert my 15mm front wheel for a 9mm fork?

Might have to ebay one but you can get a step down axle that slides into the 15mm that has 9mm shoulders on it. Some hubs have specific inserts you can also get.

What make is the hub?
In case anyone missed it…WTB is making the Nano Raptor in 40mm.

looks like a pretty generic hub. not sure what it is.
saw the ebay axel conversion. seems like an easy solution but kind of crazy that it has to be bought off ebay
guh, that's some grizzly welding

I think some companies use EBay for their primary source for selling. Look how much Paul's components stuff is sold their is an example.
So..does this mean we need to start a everything Monstercross type thread?:P
