At Interbike I met Phil Liggett and got him to change my cell phone message to "Hi this Phil Liggett. Brian can't come to the phone right now as he is out dancing on the pedals. Leave a message and he'll call you back."

but didn't save it.

So you where like a giddy kid at Christmas. Was it being in prescence of Phil or just all the Interbike porn around you that was distracting?

You know, as much as I love and respect the guy, it might by time to step down and hand over the reigns to Paul Sherwin.

He sure made of lot of glaring, obvious mistakes during this year's TdF coverage.

So Levis and Landis aren't the same person? :D

Wow, you don't know a good announcer, if they smacked you upside the face.

trys to hold a straight face…….

bursts into laughter

But seriously I like him, his quirks, are entertaining to me. He does make way too many mistakes, and tends to annoy alot of people. Meh, it's all good, it's racing on TV, which is better than fishing shows.

Phil and Paul are losing it. They keep rabbitting on about nothing much and miss some of the important stuff. I like Bob Roll a lot, even though he does like to bug people. He's a lot like Don Cherry - good clear analysis of the sport, but in an annoying package.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Paul Sherwin and Bob Roll sounds a good magic duo to me. Paul can keep Bobke in check, while Bobke provides necessary levity.

They really need a Stadium Reporter, like on Iron Chef. Someone to get all the facts straight and pull info from race radio.

But, really, I'm just hoping that OLN doesn't pull the plug on daily coverage so we end up in the dark ages again.
