what do you guys use for fenders in the rain on road bikes. Im assuming I cant fit regular fenders on my Giant TCR
Road bike Fenders
I'm using SKS ones that you can put on and take off very easily (http://www.sks-germany.com/sks.php?l=en[HTML_REMOVED]a=product[HTML_REMOVED]i=5288300000). They take a minor amount of work to dial so that you don't get tire rub but once you get them set up they work very well. The rear fender is pretty short so if you're group riding you'll want to set up some type of extender (cut water-bottle, etc.). I've seen some knockoffs too that seem to work just as well.
i've got the normal sks ones (didn't realize there were quick release ones or else I would have gotten them). With these as well it takes some tinkering to get them to not rub the tires. As well, I had to bend the front mount to make it fit or else it would have hit the lower headset cup. No biggie. It was between these and the axiom ones that looked pretty good too.
would they fit on my bladed forks ?

Those fenders are super cool. I've seen some wooden ones around town but not nearly as nice as those.
I am using the freddy fenders from Planet Bike.They work farirly well once you have them set up on the bike and at $21.50 at MEC are not a bad deal.. I added a mount so I can screw the front fender into the fitting at the top of the fork. That way if I put an extender on it it won't pull the fender down. these are designed to be used for fenders without any braze ons and they should also fit a bladed fork as well. Once they are on though, they work fairly well. Rode Saturday on them and was happy with the results.
No matter what you get to fit your Giant in the end, make sure you don't forget the extenders!
Keeps your bike cleaners, but more importantly allows you to ride with others.
If you're wondering why a cut up waterbottle isn't the way to go, just take your bike and wheel it on the back tire (ie when walking your bike in a tight space such as your locker room etc.).

rat - another vote for the SKS. Obsession has them. They're super easy to use and fit on bladed forks
I have the clip on axioms and they seem pretty good and fit a bladed fork

The speedez ones are fine but they allways need adjustment. If you are looking for bolt on's MEC, planet bike ones work well. Get rubber coated clamps from NAPA autoparts, and expect to do some cutting fitting and swearing. No fender fit like a glove.

A while back I had wooden fenders - looks super cool, but not durable, cracks when bumped hard, and rotting is likely eventually - so good for the sunday bike
i have been using the paceline dlx reflex on both my RM whistler 50 disc and RM RC 50 disc .
work great , nice fit and finish but do take a little longer to set up as you have to figure out what length you have to cut the stays . i had to fiddle around a bit to accommodate the disc brakes , and the flaps have fallen off .
