Riding groups

My bro (a roadie) is planning to visit in June (from ONT) and is looking for a group of roadies to ride with. He likes the pain, big climbs, and the race mentality as he races (you know, they race each other up climbs etc.). Where can I look for him to hook him up?

I'll be taking him mtn biking at other times (he use to race elite division but road riding took over) and have another buddy (former XC racer) who will take him on the Test of Metal course. BUT…he says he needs to still get some road riding (training) while visiting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

I think it's $26 to join, which gets you Cycling BC associate insurance. They do 85k road rides along marine drive and through Richmond, and in summers they climb Cypress and areas around the upper levels highway.

Ah yes, the Wedgewood people, I know them well. They used to be riding buddies of mine and my wife's (her ex-team mates). They are a nice bunch. Hi guys!

I used to do those winter group rides, which at this time is just base building/socializing and they pick up the pace later in January.
