what is the right way to do it?
edit. i watched the video and did it right. i guess im just worried because my inseam and the stand over of the 57cm are about the same. and im wondering if that's too tight.
Okay, you need to do some reading up on how a road bike is supposed to fit, Google is your friend, cus I don't have the time to write and hours worth of stuff for you. After that come back with more specific question's about fit and I'll be able to help.
Stand over doesn't mean a thing to bike fitting unless you want to buy a run bike, and something tells me you're older than that!
In general… someone who is 5'11 will fit between a 56 and a 58 cm frame depending on leg/torso length. Do you have long legs for your height, and a short body and arms? if so a 56cm would/could fit…. see where I'm going with this.
