Today is why I like Sagan so much. He has. Honoured the WC jersey like no one in recent memory.
The only one I can think of is Hushovd in 2011. Making big breaks to get the sprint points, and even winning a couple of mountain stages.

Wuuuuut just happened?
Anyone found a clip of the crash on today's stage that took out Froome? I keep seeing the ones of Froome running. Sounds like a spectator caused the motorcycle to stop and that screwed the whole thing up.
First the collapsing arch, then Ventoux getting shortened and now this. Awful year for the TdF.
"The song of a bird…We used to ask Ennesson to do bird calls. He could do them. How he could do them, and when he perished, along with him went all those birds…"-Return from the Stars, Stanislaw Lem
"We just walk around, and sometimes we go out and dance, and then we listen to the environment."-Ralf Hutter, Kraftwerk
Same time bullshit they shoulda' deducted the time he ran without his bike.
But I am starting to think Froome's the real deal. That or he has a better pharmacist.
Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.

i'm surprised after all the years of the running of the tdf (ha!) that there always seems to be no shortage of fuckwits clogging up the streets and impeding the race or disturbing the riders.
it's only a matter of time till a rider gets seriously hurt because of those knobs.
We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

Meet your 2016 TdF champion…Chris "Running Man" Froome.
Contador, why did you have to crash…

And here's Quintana getting an uphill tow from Mavic neutral service…not so cool.

Yeah, from here on out, I think it's the annual Sky machine rolling to Paris.
It really doesn't look like Quintana is going to be able to do any damage later on.
That seems pretty disrespectful of the team. I can't imagine team management allowing any rider to start without a commitment from the rider to take any grand tour to the finish, barring serious illness or injury.
I read today that when Cavendish signed with Dimension Data last year, his contract stated that they give him freedom to train as he wanted for the Olympics, even if it meant dropping out of the Tour.
Based on the intermediate sprint today, he'd already given up on challenging for green, so staying in would only be for a chance to win on the Champs-Ãlysées.

This… and he knows it.
He mentioned last week in a post race interview, he just wanted to hold on to the jersey as long as possible before they got into the mountains and Sagan won it…
Pretty much a done deal now. As of yesterday, Sagan with 405 and Cav with 291. Pretty hard for any rider to pick up 107 points on Sagan with only 5 stages left.
When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity.
When many people suffer from a delusion, it is called religion.
and there goes cav…

I understand why… but still feels lame.
