What do you expect from a Toronto based sports station?

It's on later tonight. They sent a camera crew to Cafe Domestique in Dundas this morning.

I stayed up late and watched the Stelvio, and then the intertube feed of the ITT this AM. An amazing thing that Ryder has accomplished. Amazing.

Nail biting finish!

It was live on SN1 6:30 - 8:30.

He looked a bit shell shocked on the podium, like he couldn't quite believe what had just happened.

Vaughters better be throwing a hell of a party tonight.

Finally a Canadian flag in Italy and on the Giro podium! :woot: Huge congrats to Ryder.

TDF 2012? Garmin hasn't finalized their team for the TDF. Will they bet the farm on him? Ryder seems to thrive when pushed to the limit physically. But so many "ifs" ….

Also lets not forget Svein Tuft! 9th place in the TT.

Dominique Rollin DQ'ed in Stage 20 (along with 4 or 5 other riders) for holding onto a team car up a climb. Too bad his first Grand Tour had to end this way.

Christian Meir finished a respectable 15th on the 11th stage - 255 km and longest stage of the tour.

Who they gonna back - Tyler Farrar?

GC is the most prestigious and the hardest … Farrar may be a contender for the Green TDF sprinters jersey, but they may play it by ear early in the TDF. Christian Vandevelde could be another choice for the GC. If the GC seems out of reach, they may opt to switch to Farrar (but beating Cavendish will be a huge obstacle).

Cavendish blew his chance for the Giro 2012 sprinter's red jersey … beat out by Rodriguez by one point on the 20th stage. That must really burn him up. Thor Husovd did a similar thing to him in the 2010 TDF ("humiliated" was Cav's word when Hushovd broke away on a mountain stage to collect sprint classification points and beat him in points total).
