Looking at getting a new road bike. Many of the higher end endurance bikes come with disk. Knowing the stopping power from mountain biking I have concerns with using them on a group ride. Anyone have experience here?
Expirence riding disks on group ride
I haven't used road disk brakes, but I would assume that any decent road disk brake would have to have good modulation. There are lots of times on a road bike when you want to adjust you speed very slightly or gradually while in control (for example going into a corner at speed or down a steep hill or riding in a pack). Any product that can't modulate your braking to this degree is probably not worth installing on a serious road bike.
