Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm originally from Ottawa but I've been living in Wollongong Australia for the past 6 years. My Aussie boyfriend and I are planning on moving to Vancouver in 2 years. We're hoping to spend over a month in BC in summer 2008, so I thought I'd jump on here and meet some people. Perhaps I'll even see some of you out on the trails sooner rather than later.

Try the non-ladies section.

Tonnes of people, and all are friendly. You'll get more responses there.

Thanks gals! I can't get over how supportive and wonderful the chick's forums are in Canada. The Australia Chick forums tend to get a bit too competitive and butchy (afraid of appearing wimpy). Girls on here aren't afraid of being girls.

You don't have to tell me twice! I love Australia but I'm a bit homesick and I know I'll never be able to live in Ontario again after being exposed to such a laid back and outdoorsy nation as Australia. So I figure BC would be perfect!!!

try muddbunnies.com - you can talk to about 200 lower mainland girls who ride and I think we are all pretty nice - not competitve - stoked and encouraging!

I meant competetive in the context she was using it in….as in one upmanship.

Although the riding areas aren't as many as Canada, there are some areas that are worth travelling across the world to check out. I've only ridden in New South Wales but have enjoyed it all. Plus a trip to Australia can be combined with a trip to New Zealand where there's primo riding. I've only been skiing in NZ but have certainly heard many people rave about the riding there.

Hey Nugs. Ottawa eh? I'm from Kanata ON, now living in Van as of a month ago. I can barely keep up with the number of times I've been ridin' since I got here and the number of people I met. I am learning the hard way that you need recovery time between rides…

Anyways, I am sure we'll chat more when you come out biking. Look forward to meeting you.
