FR forks for female riders?

What forks are female riders using for FR these days?

My wife currently has an old Boxxer on the front of her small Bullit frame, but has never like the fork.

Time to change to a single crown.

What are you using? Comments?

Something air would make the biggest difference, otherwise take the Boxxer she has to Suspension Werx, pretty tough to find a better fork than the older Boxxer.

Fastest part to change is the rider.

Audrey's running a 66ata, works good.

With air it's pretty easy to set up.

I'm liking my 2-Step Lyric so far. it's air, but can be dropped to 115mm travel and locked out for climbing.

I've got a Lyric, a Super T, and a 888WC. I don't think it really matters what fork a woman uses, but rather that you get the proper springs to allow for the appropriate sag (esp. if its for a lighter woman rider.) Naz is the man for my Marz product and James did wonderful things for my old Dorado. If you need help with tuning an air fork, again, see Naz or James. I'll be getting James to tweak my Lyric at some point too.

I think the reason she doesn't like the Boxxer is that a double crown fork causes the bar to be higher, and with all the extra metal the top of the bike to be heavier.

The Boxxer has the light springs in it.

Low front end is the only way to fly, can you get a drop crown.

I know how it is with girls, if a new fork will make her happy then its no-brainer, I am just looking at the cheapest option.

55 isnt big enough, Dave hit the nail on the head.

Go see Naz and set her up on a 66 ATA(air), buck up and get him to revamp it outta the box and she will be happy all year.

She has a small Norco Fluid One and loves the fit on that bike, so would like to get her position on the Bullit as close to that as possible.

The Boxxer has a drop crown, but by the time you have a headset, upper crown, stem [HTML_REMOVED] riser bar the front end is getting high.

The 66ata has a questionable reputation but we have Naz and he has these things dialed. I picked Audrey's up brand new for $650 online, there's a few good used deals around too. The nice thing about the 66ata is with the travel adjust you can dial the front end height down if you want for climbing and trail riding, then take it back up to the full 7" for downhill.

She will love the increase turning radius of a single crown over the Boxxer.

i second the single crown. i have a 66vf on my fr bike, would love to change it for a 36 but not this year.

I've got a 36 Talus on my Nomad [HTML_REMOVED] I love it. It's light, I can dial it down for climbs, [HTML_REMOVED] i haven't had any maintanace issues at all. It always feels even better after a visit to suspension werks. As everyone's said - James is a genius! (Naz too, for my big bike's 888 ata). We're lucky to have them to look after us so well!

Does anyone know if there was much changed between the 2008 [HTML_REMOVED] 2009 models?

My wife is rockin the domain 318, nice fork a bit heavy perhaps. But they can be found cheap (I picked hers up for under $200, but thats just cause its a 1.5 steerer)

My sister is on a 55R, seems nice haven't really had the time to play with it though.
