Hey there,
I read a post on here about people making their own shorts, is there anyone who is making them? Like Ingrid used to do? And also COB had a nice pattern, I can't find anything decent without paying an arm and a leg, mostly to short. I am on the island so it is very limited!

I make my own with a heavy cordura fabric. So far they have lasted into my 4th year. Found a pattern and then lengthened them cos I wanted them to cover my thighs and knee pads. I ride about 4-5 times a week in the summer, so they've had a lot of use.

…digging up an old thread…

I've used board short patterns. YOu need to shorten the CF seam to below your navel to get a good cycling cut. I always have to add a bit at the top of the thigh for cycling room. If you can find it, washed cordura supplex makes a really nice fabric for shorts.

raceface men's shorts are the only ones that seem to fit me super well. i've had several pairs with zero complaints.

I got a pair of Harlot shorts for a pretty good sale price from Freeride Foundation (awesome customer service from her too!) and I really like the fit, but the stretchy material stretches a bit too much for my liking. I'm going to try their Houlihan short next time I have some money.

I really like the fit of Sombrio shorts, but they are SO expensive, and I find it ridiculous that you can get better prices on Sombrio stuff in the states, when it's made over here.
