lots of good and different ideas here eh. i definitely take some of the 'normal' required supplements such as vit D and Omega fish oil (along with eating a lot of salmon/steelhead) and have added some protein whey powders. i've succumbed to the easy promises of Vega Recovery accelerator right after intense workouts (hockey, mtn biking) and a full protein powder drink an hr later. been reading about ZMA and it seems a bit confusing and possibly inconclusive. maybe a regular vit sup pill would have enough of the ZMA in it??
main things that seem to be helping- stretching and rolling out the legs and- no one has mentioned it yet- walking. many of us don't simply walk enough and i find it helps with back pain and everything else. not running, not lifting, just walking. add some backward walking and side stepping to limber the groin do some ministry of silly walks stuff and it all helps.
