Tacklebox nailed it in post 2.

Don't focus on losing weight, lose fat and gain muscle, ie gain weight. Losing weight is as easy as eating less than what you normally do right now.

Running is stupid. It's slow, tedious, boring, and shitty. I hate it.

And I just joined a Sunday hashing group.
(if you don't know what hashing is: they get drunk, then run, then drink some more)

This should prove to be interesting.

after hitting enter I ran/hiked to the chair where its knee deep

BP pays the bills dude.

I was up on the weekend doing a couple toboggan rides with the kiddlets at the green T. Not sure I would even break out the rock skis yet. I hear they are track packing - so hopefully not long now.

Since it seems that people have several different type of goals, maybe we should have several categories, where you can sign up for one or more categories:

1) Classic Biggest Looser - largest percentage weight loss
2) Largest Body Fat Reduction
3) Increased Endurance Running
4) Increased Endurance Riding
5) Strength (don't know how we would measure this one).

as has been mentioned already, "weight loss" is a poor term to use because it's ambiguous and general weight loss is not necessarily a good thing. the term should be fat loss reduction - if that is one's goal. seeing as there's no prize being handed out here as this is simply an idea to help people with motivation, tracking their goals and yes having a little competition it's probably best to keep the "contest" part to one thread. it makes sense though to have two threads for the fintess related discussion - one for cardio and one for strength.

Wow, according to icebreakers link I am official obese.

So, a question to Syncro…

How accurate is these measurements/analysis? I am definitely not petite but I would never qualify myself as being obese. How do these types of measurement actually compare, especially where do my e-cup boobies get factored into this, and no I will not post pics :) I've always had the same size since 1988 so no matter what I do they don't seem to lose any fat…

Arrg this is already getting frustrating!!!

But I an glad I did get out for a run in the pouring rain yesterday.
