i wonder if they will auctioning off the shop tools?

always a bummer to see a business fail..

Is "auctioning off the shop tools" some kind of weightlifting slang? Or is this something to do with Dizzy's Cycles going out of business?

Not sure if anyone has been paying attention to the world weightlifting championships, but there have been some big numbers being tossed around. Lasha Talakhadze set world records in the snatch, clean and jerk and total.

Snatch = 225kg = 496lb

C&J = 267kg = 589lb

Most guys who workout will never come close to a 500lb deadlift and Lasha is lifting 500/600 over his head. The 500 overhead squat from the bottom position of the snatch is amazing. For a large man his explosiveness is incredible. He makes the attempts at 210kg and 218kg seem easy. The only problem with the vid is that the announcer sounds like Milos the tennis pro from Seinfeld.

that's wild. when you're so accustomed to seeing aesthetic muscle, it's kinda amazing to see someone that's un-buff (and his arms don't really look *that* big) generate so much power. i mean, based on looks alone, this guy should be able to lift more, right?
