As the thread title suggests I am curious about what those of you who are training and reading about training would consider a book, blog, etc. that you yourself would consider sort of essential, helpful, with a few/many insights and the like.

I really love reading about training, and need some fresh stuff for reading and re-reading.

Eric Cressey is one of, if not the best guys out there for functional strength and mobility.

T-Nation pumps out a lot of stuff for all sorts of goals. I usually pay attention to the strength training and nutrition ones.

Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 program is one of the quickest ways I've been able to gain strength. Eric has a similar program that yields similar results (Show n Go).

Dan John for the mental side of lifting.

Various EliteFTS blogs when I was neck deep in powerlifting:

Gray Cook for how bodies should properly move:

Deadlifting from the man who was the first to break 1000 lbs:

Those are the ones that come to mind for me.

I regularly check T-Nation and Dan John.

Funny thing is I do not own an e-book, and I consider myself more of a "proper book" Reader, I'd rather Shell out Money for books I am sure I will read and read again after a while.

Last week I had Marty Gallagher's Purposeful Primivive book in the mail, this is an intense read - holy shit.

I thought about getting Wendler's book as well, simply because of the templates it is supposed to have.

But there are some other things I have to do first, weird thing is, I do not seem to be able to make up my mind about my priorities.

THis year I realised that lifting and riding a lot does not work that well together.

Do I want to loose fat and increase my VO2/Stamina? Do I want to gain size, or just become stronger? How many km do I want to ride next year?
