That is not what he is saying. He is saying that in his experience there is no way an 'equivalently' specced bike from another manufacturer is worth $2000 - $7000 more than the price of the YT (I think). I think that 1.3 million feet of vert qualifies this as a satisfactory test period :)

I had more mass last summer and broke only a handful.
Good follow-up and yeah, this is better field testing than Aaron Gwin in my opinion... given your size and you that crazy vert number. Did the Quadiums hold up ok? Just not your preferred feel? Also impressive the bearings still feel smooth, did you grease them or untouched all summer?
My Jeffsy has been fault free but I've only got 500-600km on it. Other than the stock tires are no bueno for wet riding.
Tough to argue against YT's value (outside of shitty customer service). Why exactly would one buy a Santa Cruz for twice the price... baffles me.
No, the quads didn't hold up well. Had three stuck pistons on the rear within a month. Glad they showed up at Crankworks as I got to warranty it quickly. Anyone want to buy a brand new Gspec Caliper and lever? The ergo of the lever is not meant for me in the slightest.. took me too long to realize that.
Haven't touched the bearings at all. Have a replacement set waiting to go in... will do that over the winter. I'll know for sure how they did once the old ones are out of the frame.

With the alloy rims were you using brass nipples or saving the 15g per wheel and using aluminum nipples? Specs on the e13 wheels say aluminum nipples.
Ahh, well all my rebuilds used brass. They didn't make a diff...

JM is moving (or has moved?) to Kamloops and I believe the distribution will be out of there as well. He will supposedly be making frequent trips to Squamish... as I tell everyone when they ask me, YT make awesome bikes with great value but if you live in Canada you better be comfortable working on your own bike.
