My guess would be you're waiting for SLX level for the $100 cassette, I'd wager MSRP will prob be around $150 for the XT.
Group looks great though! Available in the fall perhaps?
As early as June apparently…

new hub with modified splines or same ol' shimano goods?
XTR was on the original 10spd freehub body so gotta assume this is the same….
And the single chain ring is stainless steel.
Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.
Now, I'm wondering if XTR with follow suit with a 11-42t cassette too. I'd rather the Ti large ring over an alu one; which was my only disappointment with this new group, I would have taken the weight penalty for a little greater longevity.
The big cogs on Shimano's 11 spd cassettes are aluminum - XTR included.
XT crank arm BCD anyone?
Why slag free swag?
ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.
XT crank arm BCD anyone?
According to one of the articles I was reading:
"The single, double, and triple ring cranks come in what Shimano calls Rider Tuned options, meaning each one is targeted at a separate mountain biking demographic from cross country to enduro and feature the same atypical four-bolt spacing as the XTR cranks."
Apparently this means 'non-symmetrical' 96mm BCD.
XT crank arm BCD anyone?
96mm BCD but the arms are not at 90 degrees to each other. Same as XTR 9000 though.

cool.
This is just beautiful.

There's nothing better than an Orangina after cheating death with Digger.
Why couldn't Shimano put this on the market? E13 10 speed cassette. Needs an XD driver freehub, but I like it..
The only thing Shimano did right on that Evil frame is the 36!

New Hope 10-40 10 speed cassette…

Holy God, my eyes! It's so bright!
Ride, don't slide.
SRAM is usually the most progressive when it comes to new product designs, so it is nice to see Shimano take the step and produce what people have been asking for. If it were only available right now I'd buy it!
That E13 cassette is very interesting. A 9t cog??? that's road gearing right there. I love it. That's going to be very quick paired with a 32t chainring. Anyone care to do the maths on that gearing ratio?
